To anyone that has used GNOME, it should be simple to understand my wish. The current way to appease users asking for this is to have them install a kwin script that pins all the windows on a monitor for you. Looking past all the bugs that the script itself has, this also isn't reflected or integrated anywhere else in the DE, making for a pretty wonky experience for users who use the new effects heavily.

Noticeably, none of the overview effects seem to reflect it (which is the core of my request, making this feature integrated within KDE). I still get a workspace slider, desktop grid is still a grid on every monitor, even though there's basically only 1 workspace.

I think GNOME has figured this out, and there's no need to complicate things further. What I would like to see is an integrated checkbox, that mutates the overview and makes the workspaces disappear in the overviews and workspace animations disappear when switching.
