Description Rafael 2022-11-20 20:36:02 UTC
When ever I use a reference and turn the opacity down and start drawing over it, it starts making squares over the brush and whenever I try normally using ctrl + v for paste it pastes as a reference image and if I paste from the edit menu, Krita just closes it self.
I did go onto configure Krita to change my brush to show arrow and it started after thta though, but when I turn it off, it doesn't do anything.

Thank you!

Thank you for your report. I can confirm the issue. (As a workaround, insert the reference image as a layer under transparent layer, change the opacity and then trace it.)

Cannot reproduce with Krita 5.1.3 on Linux. Can reproduce with 5.1.2 and 5.1.3 on Windows. It does not seem to affect 5.0.6.

Hi, Rafael and Cebtenzzre!

Could you please retest the issue with Krita 5.2.6? I think the issue was related to HiDPI display scaling and got fixed in one of the previous Krita versions

I retested with Krita 5.1.3 and 5.2.6 on Windows, and can confirm that the visual artifacts when drawing over reference images have been fixed. I cannot speak to the pasting issues.
