Description Christian (Fuchs) 2022-11-19 02:33:30 UTC
Fresh install on a new box with fedora 37, single screen, plasma 5.26.3
I have a fingerprint reader, but it is not configured or active

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Lock screen via menu or keyboard shortcut
2. Try to unlock screen by entering password

OBSERVED RESULT
Can't, no error messages, nothing happens, stuck forever until either switching to a VT and doing a loginctl or rebooting the machine

EXPECTED RESULT
Can unlock the screen

This can be reproduced 100% with kscreenlocker_greet, which gives

kscreenlocker_greet: Lockscreen QML outdated, falling back to default
Could not create scene graph context for backend 'opengl' - check that plugins are installed correctly in /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins

Logging in via sddm works without issue.
