Description justina 2022-11-14 00:41:12 UTC
SUMMARY
***
I would *most* naturally expect these options to be available under the "Message" menu as it is structured currently.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Read an email for physician's appointment reminder, directions to friend's house, plans I want to take notes on with physical pen and paper, etc. etc.
2. Look for menu option to print.

OBSERVED RESULT
No such option, and no mention of printing off emails anywhere in the documentation.

EXPECTED RESULT
Print out an email with appropriate headers and basic formatting, or save to PDF, depending on operating system print options.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
All versons / operating systems.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I realize people are going "green" in Europe where much of this development is taking place, and in accordance with the COP27 summit there is general desire to go "paperless" as much as practical, in order to avoid the "carbon footprint" associated with printing out hard copies of written communications, but it is still sometimes necessary to this day to physically print off a receipt or invoice or some other document that needs an old-fashioned signature, and in general I feel that open-source software should have all its basic capabities and not be crippled or disabled by missing options.

This is a bit of a workaround but when I need to print an email, I usually right-click, press "Save this message part...", save it somewhere and then open the saved file and print that.

I'm terribly confused. Warsaw, Poland is a city of 1.86 million residents. "Trojitá" ("trojaczek") is apparently a triple or triplet of something, someone -- looking it up in the dictionary I don't know any Polish or similar languages, how many babies are born triplets in a city of that size, brothers and/or sisters, fraternal, identical? Where are the other two pieces of the puzzle, then?

> The missile caused an explosion Tuesday about 10 miles from the Polish-Ukrainian border, in the farming village of Przewodow, killing the owner of a granary that was struck and a tractor driver who was transferring maize and corn to the facility, according to Poland's Law and Justice Ministry.

Trojitá is no longer maintained, please switch to a maintained alternative like https://apps.kde.org/kmail2/

Sorry for the inconveniences.

Interesting. Kmail2 has been crashing frequently and badly on me, particularly when opening certain email messages. People from the OpenBSD camp have been suggesting hardware issues with memory corruption, but that sounds dubious to me, especially with respect to specific reproducible bugs and I suspect there are deeper issues with memory leaks and with a buggy GNU C++ compiler showing up on the KDE/Qt desktop in general, which actually uses advanced C++ features that do need to work correctly in compiled code. I much prefer the user interface of KDE, but for the time being (this past year or so) I have switched to Gnome desktop and had somewhat better luck with system stability. Thunderbird on the laptop/desktop and K-9 Mail on my mobile device are my current solutions.
