screenrecord of the bug with an example set of images

SUMMARY
***
In albums with many images in subfolders, a cutoff happens at an unknown number when drawing pins on the map. Not all pins are drawn, finding images by location becomes hard.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have many images with geodata in many subfolders of the current album. In my case, it's 1188 images with geodata.
2. Switch to mapview.
3. Zoom into location where you know images should be, but which is empty on the map.
4. Select the subfolder that contains the images expected in the current mapview.
5. Images show up.

Screenrecord of the bug has been attached.

OBSERVED RESULT

A subset of all marker pins for all images gets drawn without clear indication if a cutoff happens and why it happens.

EXPECTED RESULT

Pins should be drawn for all images in the current album.

I assume you have enabled the inclusion of sub-albums in the View menu.
This could be a marble bug: Bug 371010

Oh. Cra.. excellent. That fixed the behaviour. I'm sorry, this was 100% a user error. This bug can be closed.

In my defence (well, somewhat), I was fooled by a large number of images in the root folder of the parent album that I had assumed weren't there but in their respective subfolders.
