Thanks for reporting a bug. Could you try the 22.08.3 AppImage from kdenlive.org and see if the problem is there as well? Sometimes the distribution packages have bugs related to dependencies.

I have the same issue using Ubuntu 22.10 where kdenlive has been installed with snap. Trying to install it with flatpak and AppImage failed as well. With flatpak errors occurred during working with videos and the AppImage executable couldn't be executed because fuse seems to be not recommended any more on Ubuntu...
Thanks for your report. This was fixed in the latest MLT 7.12.0 and is already in our daily builds, and fixed in 22.12.0
