Description Boris Gonzalez 2022-11-06 15:10:14 UTC
SUMMARY

Drag and drop doesnt work on wayland if the taskbar is set to autohide when draging files from a maximized window

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Login into a wayland plasma session
2. Move the task bar (panel) to the left side
3. Set the task bar visibility to "auto hide"
4. Drag a file from a maximized window
5. Drop it on another window

OBSERVED RESULT
The task bar remains hidden when the mouse cursor with the dragged file is touching the left side of the screen, making it impossible to select a destination window except the original one

EXPECTED RESULT
Just like in X11, drag and drop between two maximized windows or applications, drag a file, you put mouse on the left side, task bar comes up, you hover the cursor on the taskbar for a second over the window you want, the window you want comes up you, drop your file there

Affects non-maximized windows as well, as far as I can tell.
