SUMMARY Contents of certain windows randomly stop updating and either start flickering or freeze completely. Minimizing and restoring the window forces it to update but does not resolve the bug. Restarting KWin resolves the bug. When there are multiple windows of the same program open, only one is affected at a time. STEPS TO REPRODUCE Not reproducible. Has been observed so far with Brave, Minetest, Minecraft and Konsole. 1. Open one of the programs above and use it for a while. Few hours to days are needed 2. At some moment, for no reason, the window content will freeze OBSERVED RESULT No freezing should happen EXPECTED RESULT The window freezes and KWin must be restarted SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: 5.16.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.99.0 Qt Version: 5.15.6 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This bug has existed since April 2022. Reminds me of Bug 456511. Are you using X11? What Plasma version are you using?

Thanks. Does the issue go away if you disable compositing with Alt+Shift+F12?
