Created attachment 153432 [details] Packaged crash logs, plus some screenshots SUMMARY *** On my system, Krita crashes for no reason. I tried disabling autosave, reducing and increasing Cache, memory... I got 16GB of RAM and 40GB of free storage SSD space. I am trying to animate on a 720x720 canvas at 15FPS. I even erased the Resource Folder. No dice. Tried the 5.0.2 version installed on my PC, updated to stable 5.1.1, updated that to the plus variant of 5.1.1 (3b6b341425 build). Haven't tried the nightly build, not willing to introduce other quirks. Closed down all aplications (except for Firefox and Classic-Shell which I use HEAVILY). Using built-in Windows protection as the antivirus, it shouldn't conflict. No dice. Other animation apps (Pencil2D, Flash CS6) work fine. I hope you'll be able to identify the problem, this is insane. I love Krita too much, but this is infuriating. I don't know what to do. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use a factory-reset Krita of any 5.1.1 build (Stable, Plus) for an exteded amount of time 2. Use a brush and draw 3. It freezes and doesn't produce a crash log. Not even in the Krita com console. OBSERVED RESULT It crashes. EXPECTED RESULT It shouldn't crash. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: Windows 10 (10.0) 10.0.19044 KDE Plasma Version: Can't find KDE Frameworks Version: Can't find Qt Version: 5.12.12 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Using Wacom CTL-480 as the tablet, with Windows Ink enabled. Driver version: 6.3.46-1
Hi, Marek! Do you have a crash log in %localappdata%\kritacrash.log? It seems to be not in the package

There is no crash log in %localappdata% either. That is the problem that made me report the bug. How can I record the reason of freezing after Krita freezes? It dumps nothing. Neither to the console, or the crash log. Krita freezes without a reason given.
Hi, Marek! Could you please check the nightly version of the upcoming Krita 5.2? We have fixed a lot of animation-related issues, including the ones happening when applying transformation or move operations to the animated layer. There were multiple issues caused by the new implementation of the 'auto-keyframe' option: https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Krita_Stable_Windows_Build/ If you still experience a crash in this build, please try disabling "Auto-create keyframe" option and check if the crash goes away. Checking for 'kritacrash.log' again would also help.

Checking for > 'kritacrash.log' again would also help. Hi, Dmitry! Firstly, I tried the nightly-x64-5.3.0-prealpha-bc09a52527 build, and Krita no longer crashes! The issue is resolved. Secondly, thank you for replying to such an old and cryptic assignment ^^" I appreciate it and you made me respect the Krita team a lot more. :-) If it crashes, I'll disable "Auto-create keyframe". But currently I'm happy with the performance. Best wishes, and thank you a lot for the help once again!
Thank you for your kind words! :)
