SUMMARY

After the memory is full, kde starts to drop frames, and the frame rate will not recover after releasing the memory


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Open some apps until the memory runs out
2.  Close all apps
3. the frame rate will not recover

what to do

You can use the Alt+Shift+F12 keyboard shortcut to toggle compositing on and off.
