SUMMARY When using the slide transition, the latest version seems to start a horizontal slide from half way up the screen rather than a full horizontal slide. I can't get it to just slide in from the left or right. It always comes into the screen from the vertical middle. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Apply a slide transition horizontally to a small (not full screen) element. Should start off screen. Have the element be towards the bottom or top of the screen. 2. Run video. 3. OBSERVED RESULT Notice that the element comes from the middle of the screen vertically rather than straight out from the element. EXPECTED RESULT As in past versions, the element should come onto the screen straight out from the elements final resting place. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 & 11 macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Would you be able to upload a screen recording showing the composition options and what the result looks like? Or, a sample project and asset(s) that demonstrate the bug? I was not able to reproduce on 22.08.2 (Mac).
Sure! If you view the video at https://youtu.be/44xIQdF0pmc, at the 1:28 mark there is one of my standard slide-ins. You can see it come in about half way up the side of the page and then land where it is supposed to be. It is supposed to come straight in. You can see what it used to look like in our previous videos. Try this one: https://youtu.be/WqPIGmgswlg at position 1:04. It works great in this video as it was on an earlier version of kdenlive. I hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else. Christopher
