I would like Kate's tabs to have a similar feature to current web browsers. Sometimes I will have a lot of text files open in Kate and I would like to pull one tab off into it's own Kate instance to help with organization. 

Currently you have to open Kate in a new instance and then drag the tab onto the new instance. It would be nice if you could just drag the tab outside of Kate and it would create a new instance for you (similar to the functionality of modern web browsers). Thanks.

You can now detach a tab to a new window in the tab button context menu.
