Notification is shown that switch to BT happened, however audio will still play via former device. Also on opening volume widget, BT device is shown as selected. User needs to switch to former (e.g. HDMI) and back to BT to force audio play via BT again.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect bluetooth to a device (speakers, headphones)
2. Play music (playing via original channel)
3. Click on BT in audio devices (playing via new BT channel)

OBSERVED RESULT
Former channel (device) playing

EXPECTED RESULT
New BT channel (device) playing

Thanks! Some questions:

- Do you have "Automatically switch all running streams when a new output becomes available" enabled?
- Does it work as expected with another player than Spotity? In my experience Spotify behaves unexpected in such situations but other players work fine

Yes, enabled.

Yes, also Firefox plays via original device.

This is still happening. On KDE displaying notice that it switched channels / audo output, sound will launch from the previous device (e.g. notebook speakers instead of bluetooth headphones that were successfully connected).

I'm not sure if the UI problem is related to the output channel switching problem. I've added the UI bug information to this bug, which was opened specifically for it:

When the developers get a chance to look into these issues, they can determine if they are caused by the same thing or different things.
