Description Gaël de Chalendar (aka Kleag) 2022-10-20 08:54:06 UTC
SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Activate auto-save
2. Activate trimming of end of line spaces on save
3. Input some spaces at the end of a line
4. Wait

OBSERVED RESULT
When auto save runs, the space characters at the end of current line are removed.

EXPECTED RESULT
As this line is currently edited, the spaces should be kept. Current behavior encourages to type random chars in order to avoid to lose indenting when editing python for example.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version:
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.98.0
Qt Version: 5.15.6

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Is it related to #112084 in kile?
This is not #310712 as this one is related to manual save with Ctrl+S which must effectively remove the trailing spaces
