STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. find image from internet
2. open image in new tab
3. drag image to Krita

OBSERVED RESULT
In the previous version, it was a possibility to do this. Since the update I am no longer able to drag and drop from internet to Krita.

It creates an error message that says it cannot download the image.

EXPECTED RESULT
Image should drag across and be able to be added as a new layer, document, etc. in the current document

macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma:

Hi! I could not reproduce what you are having using safari or firefox and images from various sites on macOS and Windows. I Did however found an error message when "download from remote source" is used, however this is fixed in master.

Could you tell us what browser you are dragging from?

Also does this happen if you select "paste attached bitmap" or "local file" from the options available?

Hello, thank you for the reply.

I am dragging from Microsoft Edge.

The error I get is the one you mention, it says download from remote source, and then gives an error that it can not be downloaded.

In the previous version before the last update, I was able to drag the image straight across as a new layer or document without any prompt/message.

I have found a temporary work around by copying the image and pasting it as a layer or dragging to desktop and then into Krita project

I will download the latest daily build from Krita and also see if there is an update with my Edge browser.

Thank you for your help.

I made further testing and this is fixed in latest windows nightly build( 1885) and latest stable build (1646), the fix should be available in the next bugfix release.
