In an attempt to import and play audio krita crashed. The audio can be imported, edited or muted but it simply does not play any sound. After importing and removing the audio two or three times, krita crashed. It did not matter if the audio file was MP3 or any other supported format. It still didn't work.

Hi there. 

Right now it's a known bug that audio doesn't work very well and has sync issues, among other things.
I can only tell you that a new audio system that fixes most of these issues is being worked on and should land in the first half of 2023.
