STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Possibly install qt5ct (but don't use it at all)
2. Turn on the computer from being completely shutdown
3. Experience the issue (but I am not sure if the first stept has anything to do with the issue)

OBSERVED RESULT
Multiple frown smilies appear in the global top bar, in the system tray area. The functionality of the system is affected when they are flooding the plasma as it can freeze.

EXPECTED RESULT
I expected that this issue will go away with a restart or a timeshift but it does not.

Comment 2 Nicolas Fella 2022-10-17 16:21:00 UTC
This has been fixed in a later version of Plasma. 5.20 is EOL since almost 2 years
Comment 3 Megas 2022-10-17 16:30:16 UTC
I understand. Okay it's nice that it was resolved but what can I do from my side to repair it?
I don't want to reinstall my system for this!
