Please go to System Settings > Display and Monitor > Compositor and check whether it says that compositing was disabled because of errors
Compositing is enabled and working
Fixed transparency via user profile, however the option is not in main menu settings. I feel this is....confusing at best. Was only able to activate it via profile.

i reponded to this weeks ago. The transparency in the main menu doesn't work...the one i had to use was buried in personal settings (this was disabled after the update. as an aside...plasma changes the menu panel icons for activities/desktops when you place the monitor above the laptop screen in display settings. my tv sits above my laptop, so this would be ideal, but i can't because of this issue. Is there a place to post plasma issues?...the irc channel is unresponsive and downright hostile sometimes.
