Created attachment 152881 [details] Buttons SUMMARY *** Buttons used in the side bars are inconsistent with the rest of buttons in the menu toolbar. All of those buttons are much larger. In addition, the Git button is red(ish) while the rest of them are just back lines. The result is an ugly UI, resembling an amateurish look and feel. Kate is one of the best tools we have in KDE and having these visual glitches. To make things worse, existing buttons (like for example snippets) used to be the same size as those in the toollbar. A quick check with Kruler indicates that the new buttons are 25% larger than those of the toolbar, which is a huge number. *** SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 36 KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.98 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

> Buttons used in the side bars are inconsistent with the rest of buttons in the menu toolbar. All of those buttons are much larger. That's intended. We changed the look of the sidebar buttons to icons only. This can be changed in Behaviour -> Icon size for left and right sidebar buttons to 22. If you want you can go back to the old style by enabling "show text for left and right sidebar buttons". > In addition, the Git button is red(ish) while the rest of them are just back lines. Already fixed, but sadly you will have to wait for 22.12.

Although I could argue that the default should be 22, or whatever is set in the main toolbar actually. Having a solution for this is more that OK for me. > > > In addition, the Git button is red(ish) while the rest of them are just back lines. > > Already fixed, but sadly you will have to wait for 22.12. Again thanks.
