Thanks for the bug report, but I'm afraid we're going to need more information to debug it. Can you answer the following questions:

1. What is your hardware setup like?
2. How many screens are you using?
3. What exactly resets to the default? The wallpaper, widgets, and desktop icon positions? Or something else?

hello!

1) My hardware is ASUS Laptop with hybrid Intel HD4600/NV-GTX-850M 
graphics.

2) I'm using only one screen, only one desktop

3) Yes, wallpaper settings, all widgets disappear and all icons set to 
default size and positions. Nothing else was noticed

Unfortunately this very annoying issue is impossible to truly fix with the current broken-by-design system of mapping containments to screens. We are rewriting it to work properly in Plasma 5.27. My apologies this happened, and hopefully issues of this nature will finally be completely fixed for good in Plasma 5.27.
