This is an issue on windows only apparently. on macOS kerning is properly preserved at all sizes. I'll mark this as confirmed, however im not sure how much we can do to resolve it at the moment since Wolthera is currently rewritting the text tool, and this issue seems to go deep into the font rendering code.
