SUMMARY When using a secondary screen and USB-connected mouse, after disconnecting the laptop and reconnecting it, the mouse Pointer speed is reset to the default. In order to set it to the preferred setting again, you have to go into "Settings-->Input Devices-->Mouse-->Pointer Speed" every time after disconnecting/reconnecting. Set the mouse pointer speed to the lowest setting in "Settings-->Input Devices-->Mouse-->Pointer Speed" 3. Disconnect the laptop from screen and mouse 4. Reconnect the laptop to screen and mouse OBSERVED RESULT The mouse pointer speed has now gone back to the default speed. EXPECTED RESULT The mouse pointer speed is still at the lowest setting.
