STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Make it so discover is checking for updates and taking a while to do it.
2. Search for an app. e.g. VLC
3. It won't show up in the results. The results will contain things like service menus, just no apps.
4. If a search is performed after discover has finished checking for updates it will be correct.

This was an issue with Discover in Plasma 5.23, but it's since been fixed for 5.26!
