Description Moritz 2022-09-30 09:11:25 UTC
SUMMARY
The 4 finger touchpad gesture swiping up (like showing all activities and their windows) laggs horrible (like 1 fps). The other one (showing all windows, the one with the search bar) also laggs and party even freezes the system.

I can't even turn them off, please add an option for that too.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Swipe up or down

Is this a regression in comparison to 5.25? Did you update mesa recently?
Comment 2 David Edmundson 2022-09-30 09:21:17 UTC
Do you have similar performance issues using the shortcuts (control+f7)
Comment 3 Moritz 2022-09-30 09:45:54 UTC
No, I just thought somebody else will report that they are laggy, but when I update kde I update my whole system. They where always laggy.

Actually the animation is smoother with a key combination? (how does this happen?) But still, after the animation the whole screen hangs for a couple of 100ms. Then it works as before.

Can't reproduce.
Comment 5 Nate Graham 2022-10-09 21:32:48 UTC
See also Bug 459845; I suspect there is a GPU driver issue causing these issues.
Comment 6 Nate Graham 2024-03-25 02:27:07 UTC
This has been fixed in Plasma 6.
