SUMMARY Following a previous bug report I am using the Kdenlive AppImage. I have made many rendering operations while working on several video that proceeded smoothly. Just as I made fine tuning to a video that rendered without any problem rendering now crashes everytime I am attempting to produce an mp4 or mkv file. Webm, high quality gif, or mpg2 are not an issue. Examples of log crash reports for mp4 files: Started render process: /app/bin/melt -progress /var/tmp/kdenlive-rFfvsZ.mlt out=308 Qt: Session management error: None of the authentication protocols specified are supported 1 35 11 2 114 36 3 186 60 Rendering of /home/nicolas/Downloads/ppPLUSLogoIntroc.mp4 aborted, resulting video will probably be corrupted. I uninstalled the AppImage, updated/upgrade the system, restarted the PC, installed the FlatPak instead. Trying to render the project returns the same rendering error. Found the origin of the problem by deleting one by one the time line elements. It has to do with the motion effect Glitch0r applied to a static image. Rendering worked when limiting the Glitch Frequency to a low frequency (88) and a short duration setting in the timeline (2 sec). Weird issue, how to fix it?
It actually depends on the various settings in Glitch0r such as Glitch Freqency, Shift Intensity, Color Glitching Intensity). By testing and making adjustment and adding keyframes the rendering could be made to work again. Very weird issue.
Please try with version 22.12.0. Make sure parallel processing is switched off in render -> more options.
