SUMMARY When clicking on a System Tray icon (I've gotten it to happen consistently with Discord's icon, but I don't know if it happens with others), there seems to be a chance that a click will be registered above the icon, above the panel, on a full-screened application. I noticed this when I would be watching a YouTube video, click the Discord System Tray icon, and then I'd be redirected to another video on YouTube. First couple times it happened, I thought I mis-clicked, but I've tried it slowly and deliberately now to make sure my mouse was on the Discord icon, but the click being registered is definitely far removed from where my mouse cursor is. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have System Tray in the right side of the panel on the bottom of the screen with the Discord icon visible on the panel (not needing to press the arrow to access) 2. Open a web browser, like Firefox, in full screen, navigate to YouTube with a video up and resize window so the list of recommended videos is above the Discord icon 3. Click on the Discord icon, or double click it. Sometimes scrolling the web browser window up and down before clicking the icon also somehow makes it happen. The clicks don't always happen, but I have gotten it to consistently happen within a few seconds of actively trying each time OBSERVED RESULT The recommended video above the Discord icon gets clicked despite the mouse cursor being over the Discord icon, not the video EXPECTED RESULT The clicks go only to the Discord System Tray icon, and not the full screen application above the panel SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch 5.19.9-arch1-1 KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.98.0 Qt Version: 5.15.6 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Double clicking seems to make it happen more consistently for me, but single clicks also have the problem. I'm using Wayland with an AMD GPU and have had the same experience with full screened Firefox and Brave (a Chromium-based browser) getting the click. I'm not totally sure if this is the right section for this bug report - I couldn't find a general "Widget" section to file it under
I'm a bit confused; you said it affected full-screen app windows, but the panel isn't visible when windows are fullscreen. Did you mean maximized windows?
Possibly Bug 433079.

Thanks. Cannot reproduce at all with those steps: using Discord, clicking or double-clicking on its tray icon when a YouTube video's related videos list is positioned above it after scrolling in Firefox a bunch.
