SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a jpg file and edit it. 2. Save it 3. Try to open the next file for editing OBSERVED RESULT After 3-5 edited files, the changed file is not saved . Or, if it is saved , I cannot open the next file for editing. Instead, the last edited file is opened in the editor. When I close Digikam, I see in the system monitor that t the process is still running and I have to sclose it manually. After that I can restart Digikam and edit the next 3-5 pictures. Not a goof workflow... EXPECTED RESULT Continue editing the files I have in that folder without having to go through the closing and stopping, or even repeating the editing process SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Linux Mint v. 20.3 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ? ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I have tried two different data base versions, does not change anything.
Which digiKam-8.0.0 version is it exactly? Did you compile it yourself? Are they using the AppImage we provided from a few months ago? Maik
A test here after 10 images (only inverted) and saving shows no problem. We need the debug output from the terminal when the problem occurs. Here is the guide: https://www.digikam.org/contribute/ Maik

Closed as it's not reproducible with digiKam 8.2.0 pre-release bundle.
