Can you verify whether or not the ksystemstats daemon is running?

Installed ksystemstats which might have been uninstalled during previous upgrade.

That would do it.

If Arch doesn't make ksystemstats a mandatory dependency for plasma-systemmonitor, that surprises me. That might be good to do, since plasma-systemmonitor doesn't work without it. I might recommend that you big an Arch bug report.
