i was messing with settings in my linux machine and it ended up turning xfce into kde xfceplasma kex it isnt right but its how its acting now and yes i set everything up personaly

I'm afraid Kali Linux is not appropriate for general use, and you will find a million and a half other little weirdnesses like this, because running everything as root is explicitly unsupported and never recommended. This goes double for when you try to extensively customize everything without extensive technical knowledge of the system. I would encourage you to re-install your system with a more appropriate general-purpose Linux distro, such as one of the ones you can see at https://kde.org/distributions.
