Description Enrico 2022-09-18 09:29:21 UTC
Hello,
I can't install an update from Discover. This is due to a fwupd bug fixed yesterday so I need to wait for the next fwupd release and the availability on the Ubuntu repositories, it will take months I suppose and the updates is always shown in Discover. I can remove the LVFS repository, but in this way I won't receive all the other updates.

Here my request: can you please consider to add an option to hide a single specific update?

I think this means neon needs a newer fwupd.
Comment 2 Enrico 2022-09-18 18:13:39 UTC
It would be great, but the fix has just been merged so we have to wait the official release

Discover cannot just hide a security update on your firmware, even if it's because there's a bug somewhere in the middle-ware. Workarounding should happen only as a last resort.

Understood, thanks.

This is the issue of fwupd if needed https://github.com/fwupd/fwupd/issues/5035

Thank you for your bug report!
However this bug report was created/provided previous to 01/01/2023 and also has not received any updates since before 01/01/2025.
Unfortunately KDE neon no longer provides updates for anything older than noble 24.04 based edition's.
Please upgrade to KDE neon noble and if you can reproduce the issue after upgrading to an active version, feel free to re-open this bug report.
Thanks for understanding!
