All KDE software from git master on top of Fedora 36. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have the Maliit virtual keyboard installed, activated, and otherwise working properly 2. Open Konsole. If it was maximized, un-maximize it. It should be windowed. Then close it. 3. Open Elisa or Firefox (in native Wayland mode) and maximize it. 4. With a touchscreen tap, open Konsole using a Pinned Task Manager icon. 5. With both the windowed Konsole window and the maximized Firefox windows visible, tap on the Firefox window with a touchscreen tap. OBSERVED RESULT The Maliit virtual keyboard disappears, but Firefox's window--which was resized as well when Maliit appeared--does not return to its original size. EXPECTED RESULT All windows that were resized by the Maliit virtual keyboard return to their original size when it disappears, not just the active one.

Since the regression, this sometimes doesn't seem to work for the active window anymore either.
I'm experiencing a similar/identical bug on Fedora KDE 42. Whenever I close Maliit, windows that got shoved to the top of the screen by Maliit remain shrunken.
It keeps happening to me as well on 6.4.x, first seen on 6.3.x for me.
Still happening on: Operating System: Fedora Linux 43 KDE Plasma Version: 6.5.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.19.0 Qt Version: 6.10.0 Kernel Version: 6.17.7-300.fc43.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland For me this also happens commonly: - have maximized application open - open a widget that uses a keyboard, e.g. application menu, wifi widget - while virtual keyboard is open tap on the maximized application - the application now covers the top half of the screen but still shows up as maximized
