SUMMARY Since it costs money to spawn a server to offer/host a KDEConnect online service for users on networks who cannot use KDE Connect locally, why not offer that as a PAID service instead? Communist users will disagree about the commercialization so you'll have to justify the decision. There's nothing wrong about asking for money for offering a service anyway. Plus it could potentially become a revenue source for the project or KDE as a whole - who knows.
We have no plans to offer such a service
Thanks for the suggestion. As Nicolas said, we don't have plan for such service, and this is out of the scope for KDE Connect iOS client. You are, however, free to make a fork of KDE Connect to support such service as long as you follow the LICENSEs.
