SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Select 'Select Shapes' Tool 2. Click on the vector shapes one after another OBSERVED RESULT Shapes change colour, darkening ultimately to black as shown in video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iV2AY6JglFaMsNpcWu6ax05nq-64EZnM/view?usp=sharing EXPECTED RESULT Shapes retain original colour SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I was told to paste in the information in the report bug window, but I can't add that many lines...
* you can make an attachment from those files * I cannot reproduce the issue, and your video only shows the effect, not the rest of Krita (most importantly, the tool option widget), so it's not clear what you're actually doing. Could you please make a video that shows the entire Krita window and the tool options dicjer and the color selector docker?

Hey Hala, I tried but the file was too large. See previous comment for a link. I will take a screenshot of the tool panel as well
*Halla, sorry. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Sgt6jcxDBHaGxA_0qihJQpmeMIrn2Ykd/view?usp=sharing Video and screenshots of the issue
Ah, I'm sorry -- I was referring to the output of help->system information for bug report, but the kra file link is very handy, too. Thanks! I'm not sure what I should do with the mp4 of the model in Blender?
Haha, I see I uploaded the wrong thing, sorry. I'll attach both the recording of the color section of the toolpanel, and the log https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yeuAiTr0gHe7CJJvXkWhnafXs3-wXItR/view?usp=sharing
Note that this log is from the same file, but I've spent several more minutes painting in it, so any timelog will be irrelevant. I suppose you're mostly interested in the system data though. so I hope that helps narrow it down!
I'm currently investigating a rather similar bug 458913. I wonder if there is something funky going with color space which is making all the colors tend towards dark until they're black?
I can at least work around the crash from the log file: https://invent.kde.org/graphics/krita/commit/dd267208b2627fd8047869e89b41a2e19ee46817 -- I will leave investigating the bug to you, sh_zam.
Hey! I have a question, if you change to Edit Shapes tool, does any of this happen if you switch foreground-to-background color and vice versa?
Another question, if you open Krita and do not change the color, does selecting the objects still darken them?
Hello! Do you happen to have Pigment.O plugin installed in Krita?
Setting this to NEEDSINFO since I think the bug is stemming from the plugin as mentioned here: https://krita-artists.org/t/bug-colour-picker-is-behaving-weird-with-vector-shapes/46535
I do have Pigment.O installed! The krita-artists link seems to imply there's still an issue even without the addon though. I'm on another pc, but I'll try test as soon as I can!
Thanks for your comment! Automatically switching the status of this bug to REPORTED so that the KDE team knows that the bug is ready to get confirmed. In the future you may also do this yourself when providing needed information.
