Description Gurenko Alex 2022-09-13 13:06:39 UTC
SUMMARY
On a freshly installed Fedora I cannot import color profile for my monitor. That used to work about half a year ago when I had previous installation

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a KCM on a color correction page
2. Click Add profile
3. From File

alternatively

1. execute colord-kde-icc-importer /path_to_profile

OBSERVED RESULT

Failed to import color profile: could not copy the file

EXPECTED RESULT

Color profile is imported and available for selection

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 36 KDE
KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.97
Qt Version: 5.15.5

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The only log entries are as follows:

Sep 13 14:36:06 systemsettings[60681]: qt.qpa.wayland: setGrabPopup called with a parent, QtWaylandClient::QWaylandXdgSurface(0x55d8572e2a20) which does not match the current topmost grabbing popup, QtWaylandClient::QWaylandXdgSurface(0x55d857e731a0) Accordingto the xdg-shell protocol, this is not allowed. The wayland QPA plugin is currently handling it by setting the parent to the topmost grabbing popup. Note, however, that this may cause positioning errors and popups closing unxpectedly because xdg-shell mandate that child popups close before parents

Hello there,

This is also happening to me.
Freshly installed KDE 5.27.11 on Gentoo.
Adding the ICC profile's file.

kcolord is now unmaintained, color management has moved to kwin as part of wayland.

Yes, thank you, it's been working fine since the plasma 6.0.0 release :)
