Created attachment 152002 [details] The error thrown by kate SUMMARY Kate throws that error message (twice) every time it's opened. The program then works correctly. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Kate (through command line, kde application launcher or dolphin) OBSERVED RESULT Kate throws the error message "The specified folder does not exist or was not readable." twice before opening up. The line 'kf.kio.widgets.kdirmodel: protocol mismatch: "" vs "file"' appears in the terminal when launched through a command. EXPECTED RESULT Kate opens normally SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
1 - Can you check what folder the "Filesystem browser" plugin is pointing to? 2 - Does the error occur if you disable the "Filesystem browser" plugin in the settings?
