STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Edit applications from the desktop
2. drag and drop a desktop file to the kde menu editor
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT

desktop file is added but with -2 appended to the name

EXPECTED RESULT

name is added correctly without "-2"

That means the menu structure already has an entry with that name. It automatically renamed the new thing you added to prevent a name collision.
