PROBLEM At the moment, as an outsider, it's quite difficult to check what dependencies the KDE runtime provides. We have to check through the manifest, which in my opinion it's quite unintuitive. PROPOSAL To address that, I suggest to have a centralized page that lists these dependencies, along with other runtimes, such as fd.o, elementary and GNOME. I created an issue on the freedesktop-sdk repository: https://gitlab.com/freedesktop-sdk/freedesktop-sdk/-/issues/1476. If we can get elementary and GNOME on board, it would be fantastic! I hadn't thought of how to implement or design yet, as I recently had this idea, but I believe this will help developers a lot.
It's not a bad idea, but KDE doesn't control that page. :)
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > It's not a bad idea, but KDE doesn't control that page. :) I'm aware. I just wanted to share my idea and see if you and others are on board with it. At least we can work together and think of an implementation.
Sure, seems fine to me. In general the kde-devel@kde.org mailing list is a better place to solicit feedback for ideas than our bug tracker it. It's for, well, tracking bugs. :)
Thanks, and sorry for opening a ticket.
No worries!
