SUMMARY The ability to app shortcuts to the user's desktop via the 'Add to Desktop' button from the application menu does not work. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open the Application Menu 2. Choose any app to add to the desktop and right-click on it. 3. In the context menu that appears, choose 'Add to Desktop' OBSERVED RESULT The shortcut to the associated .desktop file for the application does not appear on the desktop. EXPECTED RESULT An application shortcut (.desktop file) should be added to the user's desktop with the associated icon. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 36 (Kernel Version: 5.19.4-200.fc36.x86_64) (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.97.0 Qt Version: 5.15.5 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Refreshing the desktop does not do anything via the right-click context menu on the desktop does not do anything either.
Works for me. You're using the Folder layout and not the Desktop layout, right? Can you run plasmashell in a terminal window with `plasmashell --replace` and paste any output that appears in the terminal window immediately after you click the "Add to Desktop" menu item for an app in Kickoff?
