I use KDE Connect to receive notifications from my phone. For messaging services like WhatsApp, Signal or Telegram, their exist an official desktop client. 

I'd like to propose a way to customize the click action of a notification. If a user receives a notification from Signal and clicks the notification, they can associate the official Signal desktop app with it. That way, users can interact using third-party clients without having to pick up their phones.

One could even go further and add the ability to launch browser windows with specific URLs.
