SUMMARY
FireFox snap saves files in inaccessible / wrong locations


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. download a file to /tmp fir Snap FireFox
2. Look in /tmp

OBSERVED RESULT
No file

EXPECTED RESULT
File.

KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.8
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.68.0
Qt Version: 5.12.8
Kernel Version: 5.15.0-46-generic
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1787266#c6 says I should open an issue here. Note the issue is about more than /tmp specifically - there are many places I can pick in the dialogue that are not exposed outside the snap.

Works for me on KDE neon on Ubuntu 22.04.

I suggest you install a newer Plasma version which will come with a new xdg-desktop-portal-kde

Indeed, these old versions are out of support. I would strongly recommend upgrading to 22.04. If you can't, then please direct bug reports to your distro, as they have taken on the mantle of providing support for old versions.
