I am converting color film negatives to digital using my DSLR. After copying a number of images, I wish to import them into digiKam, and convert them. After importing into an album, I would like to use BQM to perform the conversion in the album. The tool is available in the image editor, but not BQM. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Photograph film negatives using DSLR 2. Import the images into digiKam 3. Open Batch Queue Manager, and look for "Color Negative Film" in base tools OBSERVED RESULT 1. There is no "Color Negative Film" tool EXPECTED RESULT 1. There should be a "Color Negative Film" tool SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Version 5.97.0 KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.97.0 Qt Version: 5.15.5 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
With next digiKam 8.4.0, a new G'MIC processor tool for the Batch Queue Manager will be available. The G'MIC simulate film filter has the desired option : Image editor : https://i.imgur.com/GXjjU18.png BQM : https://i.imgur.com/kr9sjq3.png Plenty of other G'MIc filters are also available for your workflow, and more (in fact over 600 filters to process photo). The settings from an Image Editor G'MIC-Qt filter can be backported to the BQM using the 'copy' button on the top of the dialog. Gilles Caulier
