SUMMARY Whenever I configure a custom shortcut in KDE, be it in system settings, the menu editor or an application’s own shortcuts, afterwards the window which contains the shortcut settings is drawn as if it were inactive. I need to switch focus away from it and back for the frame to be drawn as active again. It could be a kwin bug, but I suspect something in the shortcut assignment logic creates an invisible window to catch input and then does not return the original window to its original state. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open any shortcut setting dialog 2. Enter a new custom keyboard shortcut OBSERVED RESULT The window frame colour changes to inactive. EXPECTED RESULT The colour should not change. If one enters a new shortcut, the decoration is drawn as active again
Cannot reproduce on Wayland. Does this happens in other windows that use the same shortcut picker, such as the config dialogs for Plasma widgets?
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #4) > Cannot reproduce on Wayland. I’m on X11. ;-) One of my devices runs on Wayland, because it has a touch screen. I can’t reproduce it there, either. > Does this happens in other windows that use the same shortcut picker, such > as the config dialogs for Plasma widgets? I tried it in three places: system settings, menu editor (through right click on the „start menu“) and in Dolphin→Configure shortcuts.
