SUMMARY Recent versions have applied alphanumeric sorting to the image list. This is rational, but it could be improved by visually separating the built-in wallpapers from any that the user has added - by, say, listing user-added images together at the top or bottom of the list. Actually, I never use the built-in set, preferring my own images saved from Astronomy Picture of the Day: https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html, so I'd prefer to see only those, or even delete the built-in ones altogether. This is a Gentoo Linux stable system, in which 5.24.6 is the latest available. Another machine runs Gentoo testing, where 5.25.4 is the latest version and uses the same sorting.

Thanks! OK. I'll leave that for now, as it will become less of a problem once the list is improved. Thanks.
It's already implemented in Plasma 5.26 with the new image wallpaper plugin. User wallpapers will be placed before system wallpapers.
