Created attachment 151666 [details] Screenshot of Big 2 workspace with deflated sails SUMMARY I have an Asus UX8402. They all come with two 2.8K displays. The main one is 1800px high and the special one is 864px high. Due to their resolution and aspect ratio, the special monitor requires 150% display scaling, as 100% would be far too small. The issue comes when trying to slide Krita into the special, it won't fit. I first tried Big and Big 2... but they wouldn't fit. Then I found Minimal, and it was amazing. There's just one problem, in full screen/canvas only mode, I can still see the document tabs. I want the full thing, not protection... the tabs are not canvas, I only want canvas. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. As for canvas only OBSERVED RESULT Canvas wrapped in tabs. EXPECTED RESULT Pure uncompromising canvas, at max volume, bright, such glorious. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: What is windows? macOS: I not a zoo-ologist. Linux/KDE Plasma: 42 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Pen works wonderfully, mapped across both screens, with pressure sensitivity! Touch unfortunately, is stretched across only the main surface, the special cannot be touched.
Yes, the big window layouts are for big screens. Not every window layout is guaranteed to fit for every monitor. As for the tabs, that's out of our hands: this is implemented in a Qt component that we do want to replace, but that's a big job. There exist some python-based hacks that you can find on krita-artists.org that traverse the object hierarchy and then hide the tabbar, but those hacks are not stable enough to provide with Krita itself. If you switch to subwindow mode and have the subwindows maximized, you will not see the tabs, and depending on the OS, also not the subwindow titlebar.
