SUMMARY

If a window closes as it is moving a snapshot of the window gets stuck to the wallpaper until you log out/reboot


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Close a gui application which takes some time to close (for example the minecraft launcher)
2. Drag it around until the application quits

OBSERVED RESULT
An image of the window is now stuck to the desktop wallpaper

EXPECTED RESULT
The application should quit without leaving a mark

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.19.4-arch1-1

Cannot reproduce on Wayland with current git master. Are you using X11? If so, can you try on Wayland?

Works on the latest wayland package on arch.

After some more testing I've concluded that this only happens when using the Translucency desktop effect

Can also reproduce on Wayland, as long as the windows runs in XWayland.
(Tested on Plasma 5.26.1, with Steam's startup window)

Seems to be fixed on my end, on XWayland (can't test X11).
Tested with Steam's startup window.

I tested Steam on X11, and couldn't reproduce.
(I'll hastily close this since OP isn't answering, they can reopen if it's not solved for them)
