SUMMARY
Windows tiled against a side with a partial border overflow.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use KDE Wayland with multiple monitors.
2. Drag a window to the right-hand edge of the screen and let go.

OBSERVED RESULT
Usually does the right thing. But sometimes it tiles off-screen on the right. It's as if it's quick-tiling to the wrong side of the screen edge. It's just possible to reach it to drag it back in.

EXPECTED RESULT
The window tiles on-screen.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
OS: Arch Linux, Linux 5.19.3-arch1-1 964 bit)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.97.0
Qt Version: 5.15.5

Wayland. One display at 100 % scaling and the other at 225 %.
Display layout attached.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This happens to me often, but I don't know how to trigger it on demand. I've just tried it about a hundred times with an Okular window, and it didn't work. I tried another few different application windows (both native and XWayland). A Firefox window eventually triggered it. But now it won't do it again.

This still happens in 5.26.2

(I meant to add more to that comment.)

I discovered a couple of things.

Firstly, after the bug has occurred and you have a window tiled outside the screen, you can then use super+drag to bring it back, and without letting go drag it to the same edge again. It seems (so far at least) that this always causes the window to tile back outside the screen again.

Also, after some more experience with this bug happening, it seems to primarily (perhaps solely) affect newly opened windows the first time they are tiled.

This happened again today, when I didn't have an external monitor connected, so it doesn't seem to be specific to that.

Is this still an issue in kwin 6.1?

I've seen it fairly recently, in the last few months or so. When (or perhaps if) it happens again, I'll note it here with the version.

Just had this happen again, but on my work laptop, which isn't on KDE 6 yet. I can push the confirmed version up to 5.27.11.

(It's Ubuntu rather than Arch, too.)
