the "navigation" button (it has been a mouse - icon in the tool bar) is missing. 
I cannot go back with ALT-Left Mose from PDF - File to Latex - File (kile). 

This worked for me for almost 15 years without any problems.

I have to apalogize! Please, SORRY !! I am an *idiot*!
It is found to be MY failure --> in the settings of Kile you have to set 
the editor to "MODERN" and everything works perfect.
Sorry for the trouble.


Please delete my thread or set it to solved -  I was not able to set it 
to "solved".

After working so long without any failures, I had to completely set up 3 
linux PC for the users, (from mint 19 .. to mint 21) but this one one 
thing has not been on my list     >:-[

-> I'll blame it on my age of 59.. :-)
