SUMMARY
I'm unable to reproduce this bug on X11.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. use Wayland session
2. set Thumbnail Grid task switcher
3. open some apps
4. press alt+tab and do not release alt key
5. close apps through the task switcher

OBSERVED RESULT
sometimes the thumbnails get distorted after closing an app. Please watch the attached screen recording.

EXPECTED RESULT
no distorted thumbnail

The screen recording suggest that either the screen is small (smaller than 15" laptop at least :D) or there is some scaling applied.

Could you please provide this info (screen size and scaling factor) so we can try and reproduce it?

I have just reproduced again on another computer with 23" 1080p screen and display scale 100%.

Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.5
