SUMMARY * Java Application on ETX does not get input focus STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Local KDE-Plasama Desktop (kwin window manager) 2. Start a seamless ETX (Exceed Turbo X from OpenText) session 3. Start any Java Application on the remote side OBSERVED RESULT - The Minimize button is missing on the Window decorations - The application does not "active" color - If another non-Java application is behind the Java application, any input event (mouse or keyboard) goes to the window behind, although the (java) window is on top. I know this is very specific to ETX and KDE as local window manager and Java Applications on the remote side. I don't know how to further debug this. I suspect some WM properties or X11 events get lost through the ETX channell, but how to prove that to OpenText, the vendor of ETX ? It is also very specific to kwin! metacity WM, fvwm, twm do not behave like that. What is kwin doing differently? Can it be put into a less sophisticated mode to behave like those other WMs ? EXPECTED RESULT - Java applications on ETX shall get the intended X11 events SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.x (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - Please help debugging this issue. Many thanks.
