(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kicker Version: KDE 3.0.2 Severity: wishlist Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: GCC 2.95.3 OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified It'd be very nice to have a DCOP method for hiding the kicker panel. Perhaps an animatedHide DCOP function with the left/right boolean as already? (Submitted via bugs.kde.org)

I very often miss a possibility to hide the kicker with a key or key combination (which can be made possible if there's a dcop call). I have set the kicker to be transparent and to don't show the arrows for hiding for it looks really absurd on a transparent kicker. But now - how do I hide the kicker? I don't want it to slide out of the way automatically for I need the information it gives to be viewable most of the time.
Kicker is currently unmaintained, you can look to your distribution for help, however.
